Dan Matthews is director of Earth and Geoconsultancy at Civic, leading a team of geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists and engineering geologists. With a background in contaminated land assessment and remediation, with a particular focus on the planning regime, Dan is an advocate of sustainable management and use of soils, and system thinking. He is part of the Soils in Construction Task Force – a cross-sector initiative that aims to raise awareness of the importance of soil in developing and supporting a sustainable built environment.
