Dieter Kleiner
Dieter is a founding director of RCKa - a people-focused practice of architects, designers and policy makers based in London. He has pursued the practice’s ambition to embed social value and wellbeing at the heart of all its work, for which it was awarded the Architect of the Year Award for Social Impact in 2020 and 2022. He was responsible for the RIBA National and Civic Trust award-winning TNG Community Centre for Lewisham Council, and the recently completed Housing Design Award winning mixed-use redevelopment of Highgate Newtown Community Centre for Camden Council, which Rowan Moore referred to in the Observer as, ‘design that humanises’

Dieter is a Design South-East design review panel Chair, and a Design Council Expert. He is the vice-chair of Sutton’s quality review panel, and sits on Kingston, Ashford and Haringey’s panels. He is also a founding director of CommonHome, a CIC established to deliver truly affordable home ownership under the Custom Build Act, a co-founder of Architects Aware that seeks to tackle homelessness and an External Examiner for Central St Martins BA Architecture.
