Simon Bayliss
Simon is an architect and urban designer passionate about making great housing and better places to live. He joined HTA in 1998 and helped establish HTA Design in 2013. As Managing Partner since 2016 he has led the practice through significant growth in reputation and size to be recognised as leading designers of healthy, sustainable and affordable places to live; and to become known as one of the sector’s very best employers.
 
Committed to raising design quality across all housing and to the modernisation of the industry, Simon has led some of HTA’s most notable projects over the past 20 years, including the UK’s first zero carbon community at Hanham Hall, Bristol, the world’s tallest modular buildings in Croydon, and the urban regeneration of significant areas of London including the Aylesbury Estate and Winstanley and York Road, in Wandsworth.
