London City Model Talk - BSL only

Talk

Friday 05 September 2025
12:30 - 13:00

Join Martin Glover for a fascinating British Sign Language (BSL) talk focusing on selected buildings across London and their connections to the Deaf community.
Through this engaging talk, Martin will highlight some locations in the city that resonate with Deaf history, experience, or cultural significance.

As a Deaf architect, Martin brings a unique perspective to the architecture and urban landscape, sharing stories and reflections that reveal how certain places relate to Deaf life in London - past and present. The tour invites audiences to consider the built environment not just in terms of design or function, but in relation to community identity and visibility.

Delivered entirely in BSL, whether you’re a Londoner or new to the city, this tour offers a fresh and meaningful way to engage with London through a Deaf lens.
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore how buildings can hold cultural and social meaning for the Deaf community in the heart of the capital.
