Join this NLA Breakfast Talk to hear the latest updates on the progression of the Old Kent Road masterplan since its inception in 2016.
The Bakerloo Line Extension to the Old Kent Road and Lewisham was first proposed in the London Plan in 2016, following prompting from Southwark Council. The area was designated an Opportunity Area and Southwark produced its first draft Area Action Plan in 2016, targeting the delivery of 20,000 homes and 10,000 new jobs.
A year later, the plan was further revised pivoting towards a radical masterplan to mix residential and industrial uses at scale, redefining how mixed-use neighbourhoods could work in practice - a decade on, where are we now?
Join this NLA Breakfast Talk to hear from the Southwark team and project leaders as they reflect on the journey so far, and what comes next.
