Workplace Summit 2025

Conference

Friday 12 September 2025
09:00 - 13:30

The NLA Workplace Summit brings together leaders from across the built environment to explore the key forces shaping the future of the workplace in London.
The recently published UK Industrial Strategy sets out ambitious plans for high-growth sectors to cement London’s strength as a global business hub. Supporting London’s growth increasingly depends on how effectively the built environment industry responds to the changing needs of these sectors — particularly as the continued return to the office has been driving London workplace evolution and defining approaches to flexible working across the city.

As these shifts unfold, they raise critical questions about the effects of evolving work patterns and the roles that design and placemaking must play in shaping the future of the city’s work landscape. The sessions focus on how the built environment sector can support the needs of workplace occupiers and showcase best practice in workplace design through the lens of sustainability and wellbeing.

As we look to the future, how can we create workplaces that meet the demands of high-growth sectors while remaining sustainable and inclusive? What role can placemaking play in fostering thriving, resilient places for businesses over time?

Hosted in the Livery Hall within the Guildhall complex, the NLA Workplace Summit will be a key moment to bring distinguished leaders across local government and the built environment together to influence the future of innovation in London. It is a chance to exchange insights on best practice and engage in meaningful discussions about collaborative efforts to address the most pressing urban issues.

Please note the capacity for this event is very limited and therefore tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with a maximum of 3 per organisation.
