Dolunay Dogahan

nextgen committee member

Dolunay has studied Architecture (MArch) in Cardiff University, and worked as an architectural assistant in London at Ben Adams Architects and IDOM before making the switch to client side development management/ project management. She is currently working in CO-RE, overseeing the re-development of 120 Fleet Street. She is the NLA representative of CO-RE.

She works closely with design, construction, and leasing teams. Throughout her studies she has been active in the discussions surrounding the architecture, design and construction industry. Realising the lack of platform available for students and young professionals to get involved in debates surrounding the architectural profession, she used her previous media experiences of producing a radio and TV show in Cyprus, and found a magazine called INVOLVED Magazine during her studies in Cardiff. Through INVOLVED, she ran writing workshops for architecture students, provided opportunities for under-represented groups and young people to get published online and in hard-copy and organised debates.

With her team, she ran successful open calls and crowdfunding campaigns which saw numerous people from around the world submit their works and support the publication. During the five active years of the magazine, she ran a team of editors, writers and designers, some of whom have gone onto working in these fields.
