Jennifer Beckermann
Destination City Senior Responsible Officer and Executive Director & Private Secretary to the Policy Chairman
Jennifer is a senior public affairs and communications leader with extensive international experience across government, diplomacy, academia, and the private sector. As Executive Director and Private Secretary to the Policy Chairman at the City of London Corporation, she serves as Chief of Staff to the (de-facto) political leader of an institution with more than 800 years of history. Since 2024, she has led on the development and delivery of the City Corporation’s Destination City programme – the growth strategy for Square Mile.
Previously, Jennifer served as Director, Executive Office at the High Commission of Canada in London, UK. She has also served as Director of Communications at the Hertie School in Berlin and supported Canada’s G7 Presidency through strategic public affairs at the Embassy of Canada to Germany.
She serves as Executive Director of Atlantik-Brücke Canada in a voluntary capacity and holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School and a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University.
