Joe is an architect who recently completed his Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeship at Oxford Brookes University. He began his architectural education at the University of Bath, including a semester abroad at the Universidade de Lisboa. He later returned to Lisbon to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Computation Applied to Architecture, Urban Planning, and Design.
Initially specialising in conservation and heritage, Joe transitioned to PRP Architects in 2020. Since then, he has worked on a range of projects across all stages, from initial feasibility studies to detailed design.
Passionate about fostering social interaction and community through architecture, Joe explores this theme both in practice and in research. His recent paper, ‘How the Design of Purpose-Built Intergenerational Living Can Tackle Societal Ageism’, reflects his commitment to designing spaces that promote inclusivity and connection.
