With a background as a mechanical engineer and over 25 years’ experience, Sarah began specialising in sustainability and energy in the built environment more than 15 years ago.

At Atelier Ten she leads on the delivery of sustainability and environmental services, helping project teams optimise the performance of buildings and outdoor spaces.

Sarah specialises in low-energy, low-carbon building services design and has been closely involved in developing pathways to net zero for new and existing building stock, including historic and complex buildings.

She is Scottish Chair of the Association of Consulting Engineers, Vice Chair of CIBSE Scotland, a STEM Ambassador and an advocate for women in engineering.
