New London Architecture

LDA Design

LDA Design

We approach design as a social endeavour. Our origins lie in landscape architecture, and the origin of ‘landscape’ is to create a place where people belong. Knowing how landscape connects people and place, and how people use space, is central to the work of our urban designers, town planners and environmental planners.
Landscape-led design is in demand because it delivers the most vibrant places. We think ‘First, life’ whether the project is a park, a port, estate renewal or a new urban district. In turbulent times, we all need places that support communities, encourage enterprise and reinforce identity.
We are working for developers, landowners, communities, universities and government. We led the masterplanning of the London 2012 Olympic Park and since then, great projects include Camden’s public realm, Battersea Power Station, University College London East, and Here East in Stratford.
