Support Hayes Davidson’s ‘HD5K 2026’ event on 19 May and join a charity run around Hyde Park to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
HD5K Day is Tuesday 19th May 2026, and there is still time to join us!
Since 2018, Hayes Davidson has hosted our annual charity run in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. HD’s founder, Alan Davidson, was diagnosed with MND in 2012 at the age of 52, and helped establish the inaugural event. It has since become a very special way to honour and remember Alan each year, raising more than £360,000 so far to support those suffering from the disease.
Year after year, HD5K attracts a lively crowd of architects, planners, developers, designers and consultants, who come together to celebrate Alan’s legacy, raise funds for an important cause and have some fun with old and new friends.
After the run, everyone is invited to the after-party for drinks and prizes to reward the fastest runners and top fundraisers. As always, we are so grateful to our wonderful sponsors for supporting the event, including Ali Tomlin, NLA and Vitra. Prizes will be available to win in the HD5K raffle, with all proceeds going directly to the MND Association. And thank you to the BOB Design team who design our HD5K logo each year!
We welcome runners of all abilities, whether you are aiming for a personal best or simply coming along to enjoy the atmosphere. Even if you aren't able to join us on the day, you can still support this important cause
by donating.
There are still a few places left for this year’s event. If you would like to take part and join practices including AHMM, Heatherwick Studio, Hopkins Architects, RSHP and Allies and Morrison, you can register by reaching out to hd5k@hayesdavidson.com. Entry is £300 for a team of three, and all funds raised are matched by the Alan Davidson Foundation.
Highlights from last year’s run can be viewed

Why support the MND Association?
Motor Neurone Disease is a progressive and devastating condition, and continued fundraising is essential to support those affected while driving forward research into treatments and a cure. In 2025 alone, the MND Association:
- delivered 8,094 support grants
- awarded £4.07 million in grants
- supported 63 families through 504 counselling sessions
- awarded £14.9 million to research projects
- is currently funding 157 research grants worth £39.1 million
Every pound raised through HD5K contributes directly to this work.
