NLA Co-Founder Peter Murray OBE has been officially presented with the Lynn S. Beedle Lifetime Achievement Award by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), recognising his outstanding contribution to city advocacy, architectural excellence, and leadership in the built environment over several decades.
The award was presented by Shonn Mills, Chair of CTBUH on Vertical Urbanism, during the CVU 2025 Awards Proceedings in Toronto. The ceremony also honoured SawTeen See, President of See Robertson Structural Engineers, who received the Fazlur Khan Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Lynn S. Beedle Lifetime Achievement Award is one of CTBUH’s highest honours, celebrating individuals whose career achievements have had a lasting impact on tall building design, urbanism, and global city development.
From his founding role at NLA to his leadership in establishing key initiatives such as the City Advocacy Forum, Peter has been instrumental in shaping London’s architectural discourse and connecting it with international best practice.
This recognition not only honours Peter’s lifelong contribution to the built environment, but also reinforces NLA’s mission to bring people together to shape better cities.
