Linkcity, in conjunction with the London Borough of Newham, is delivering one of the most exciting and significant town centre regeneration projects in London’s Canning Town.

Hallsville Quarter is an exciting £600 million new town centre project located in East London, forming a key part of the £3.7 billion Canning Town and Custom House Regeneration Programme. Delivered by Bouygues Development in partnership with the London Borough of Newham, this 191,530m2 mixed-use regeneration scheme creates a thriving and prosperous district.

The masterplan integrates 74% residential, 18% retail and leisure, and 8% office and community space. It delivers 1,148 mixed-tenure homes, 620 of which were delivered in Phase Three, completed in May 2025. This phase comprises 143 homes for private sale, 278 private rented homes, 102 shared ownership homes (including 10 shared equity homes), 50 much-needed extra-care homes and 47 affordable rent (including 10 London affordable rent), and truly tenure-blind design. Complementing the residential offering, the development includes 30,000m2 of leisure and retail space, including shops, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket, supported by essential amenities such as a gym and co-working spaces.

Enhanced streetscapes provide residents and visitors with green spaces and outdoor areas; the public realm will consist of 3,000m2 of landscaped amenities, including tree-lined streets, lawns and barbeque spaces with the central square serving as a focal point for civic and community activities. These green spaces are complemented by resident podium gardens and doorstep play as well as sensory gardens for the residents of the Extra Care housing, promoting inclusivity and well-being.
