For over a century, Queen's Market has served East Londoners as a vital retail hub and social anchor at the heart of Green Street, Newham. Beloved for its specialist, affordable food and textiles, it has long fostered deep social connections across diaspora communities in East London and beyond. Yet the market building and surrounding public realm faced significant functional and aesthetic challenges that risked undermining its enduring community value.
