Alongside over 200km of railway tunnels, London has a vast sewer system, in addition to thousands of metres of power tunnels at depths of up to 60m below ground. The recent London Power Tunnels project by National Grid has rewired the capital’s electricity network to boost resilience and future-proof-supplies and will play a crucial role in our journey to net zero.
