Circular Economy (CE) is now a major topic in sustainability as the construction industry seeks to reduce waste, carbon and costs. There are also specific planning requirements with regards to CE in GLA referrable projects, and within the City of London and City of Westminster. Achieving more material reuse and better recycling on projects, and understanding the viability of this, can seem complex. The purpose of this technical briefing is to help break down how reuse can be made simpler and practically achieved.

This webinar will cover:
• Defining what we mean by the circular economy
• The latest planning and sustainability requirements
• How to assess technical and economic viability of reuse on project level
• How to instruct and enact material reuse
• Drawing upon case studies and successful approaches.

Material Index work collaboratively and provide digital technologies to help enable the reuse of materials.
