Be among the first to explore The Health-Creating City, NLA’s latest research and exhibition, at an evening bringing together colleagues from across London’s built environment.

The places we live, work and spend time in have a direct impact on our health. From housing and community facilities to active travel and access to green and blue spaces, the built environment has a vital role in helping Londoners lead healthier lives.

The Health-Creating City examines how we can put prevention and wellbeing at the heart of London’s development. Looking back at a decade of policy and practice, the research explores what has been achieved, where challenges remain and how our sector can help reduce health inequalities across the capital.

The accompanying exhibition showcases projects by NLA members that put these ideas into practice. From healthy buildings and pedestrianised streets to neighbourhood initiatives and city-wide greening, the projects demonstrate how decisions at every scale can improve people’s health.

The launch is an opportunity to explore the findings, see the exhibition first and meet colleagues working across design, planning, development and health. Come together as one built environment to discuss what it will take to make health a priority in London’s next decade.

General admission places are limited. Book your place to be part of the evening.
