To celebrate the 50th edition of New London Quarterly, we thought it would be a good idea to ask 50 of built environment’s brightest and best one simple question: ‘What is the best thing about London?’ This week's response comes from Jason Balls, Main Board Director of EPR Architects.

The Square Mile - with its labyrinth of streets, alleyways and hidden courtyards that have been the backdrop for commerce, artistry and business for centuries. Taking to the roofline provides a different perspective of the city. I love the unexpected vistas that reveal the tightly knitted network of spaces that form an ever-changing environment for London’s unique workforce.
