Join this study tour of the Citigen Heating and Cooling Network which serves 28 buildings and hear about plans to expand across the Square Mile.
The tour, located in the historic former Port of London Authority building, will showcase the large-scale infrastructure required to support the network and provide an overview of how a heat network operates. This centre supplies heating and cooling to 28 buildings through an 11 km pipe network.
The energy centre has been in operation for over 100 years, demonstrating the evolution of the energy mix from coal to the latest low-carbon technology needed to meet Net Zero demands in the City. Additionally, the tour will highlight how the network could decarbonise further, and expand in the near future.
Please note the capacity for this event is very limited and therefore tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with a maximum of 1 per organisation.
Programmed as part of London Climate Action Week.
