As London confronts housing and climate pressures, join its built environment community at NLA’s annual lunch on Thursday 19 November to connect, collaborate and help shape the capital’s future.

London’s built environment is entering a defining period. The Draft London Plan has opened an important conversation about how the capital will grow, while the housing crisis, extreme heat and the need for greater climate resilience are placing renewed urgency on how we plan, design and deliver places.

These challenges cannot be addressed by any one profession or organisation. They require the whole built environment to work together, across architecture, planning, development, construction, investment, local government and communities.

On Thursday 19 November, the NLA Awards Lunch will bring more than 650 people from across the sector together at Guildhall. More than an awards ceremony, it is NLA’s annual lunch for London’s built environment: an opportunity to reconnect, exchange perspectives and build the relationships needed to respond to the capital’s shared challenges.

From delivering the homes London urgently needs to adapting buildings, streets and neighbourhoods for a changing climate, the decisions being made today will shape how London works for generations. The lunch creates space for people from different disciplines, organisations, roles and career stages to come together around that collective responsibility.

Whether you are bringing your team, hosting clients or looking to meet new collaborators, the afternoon offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships across the industry and connect with people working towards a better future for London.

The NLA Awards will form part of the occasion, celebrating the people, places, partnerships and projects contributing to a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous city. But the lunch belongs to the whole built environment community, not only those shortlisted, and everyone working to shape London is invited to be part of the room.

Hosted in the Great Hall at Guildhall, this is a chance to reflect on what the sector has achieved, discuss the challenges ahead and strengthen the connections that can turn shared ambition into action.

Tables are limited, so book early to ensure your organisation is part of the conversation.
